BJP MP Manoj Tiwari flagged off a special train on Friday, carrying 1,504 devotees from Shahdara in Delhi to Ayodhya Dham in Uttar Pradesh. This comes amidst a surge in pilgrims eager to visit the newly-built Ram Mandir temple. “After 500 years, Lord Ram has come to the temple, and a lot of devotees want a darshan (sighting of the deity). Many trains from Delhi are bound for Ayodhya Dham. In this sequence, we have arranged for 1,504 devotees from Naveen Shahdara to Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya Dham. We have ensured that passengers don’t face any inconvenience,” Tiwari told ANI.

This special train follows the ‘Aastha Special Train‘ service, which has been transporting devotees from various cities across India to Ayodhya since the temple’s inauguration in January. Each Aastha train accommodates around 1,400 passengers and offers comfortable sleeper coaches.

With over 200 such trains already operational, Indian Railways aims to cater to the high demand for pilgrimage travel to Ayodhya. This initiative reflects the growing religious tourism in the region and highlights the significance of the Ram Mandir for many Hindus.
