South Western Railway has announced the cancellation and partial cancellation of several trains due to ongoing engineering and infrastructure upgrade works between Marikuppam and Champion stations in the Bangarapet-Marikuppam section.

In a press release issued on November 29, 2024, the railway authority informed passengers about the following changes to train services:

Cancellations

  1. Train No. 01781 – Marikuppam to Bangarapet MEMU Special will be cancelled on December 7 and 14, 2024.
  2. Train No. 01782 – Bangarapet to Marikuppam MEMU Special will be cancelled on December 8 and 15, 2024.

Partial Cancellations

  1. Train No. 01771 – KSR Bengaluru to Marikuppam MEMU Special will be partially cancelled between Bangarapet and Marikuppam stations on December 7 and 14, 2024. The train will short terminate at Bangarapet.
  2. Train No. 01772 – Marikuppam to KSR Bengaluru MEMU Special will be partially cancelled between Marikuppam and Bangarapet on December 8 and 15, 2024. The train will originate from Bangarapet at its scheduled departure time.
