The Western Railway network saw its local train services disrupted today after a cable got cut at the Borivali station in Mumbai causing technical issues, officials have revealed.
In north Mumbai, Borivali is considered to be one of the busiest railway stations as a large number of commuters and office-goers use the local train services there everyday.
Suburban trains affected at Borivali station
A Western Railway spokesperson reported that suburban trains were not running from platforms 1 and 2 at Borivali station due to a cut cable, which left some track changing points non-operational.
As per the official, trains were being operated from platforms 3 to 8, according to the official.
The Western Railway said that efforts were underway to clamp the affected points, and restoration work was being prioritized to return to normal operations.
