In a move to carry out essential bridge work, Western Railway (WR) has announced a 12-hour mega block on the railway tracks between Mumbai’s Jogeshwari and Goregaon stations. The block will be in effect from 11:30 pm on November 16 to 11:30 am on November 17, causing significant disruption to suburban and mail/express train services.

Changes to Harbour Line and Express Train Schedules

During the block, both the UP and DOWN slow lines as well as the Harbour lines will be affected. To minimize inconvenience, WR has announced that all UP and DOWN slow line trains will be rerouted onto the fast lines between Andheri and Goregaon/Borivali stations. However, trains will bypass Ram Mandir station due to platform unavailability during the block.

Additionally, all Harbour line suburban services from Central Railway will terminate at Andheri station, while certain slow trains running between Churchgate and Goregaon/Borivali will also be terminated at Andheri.

WR also informed passengers that mail and express trains using the affected route will experience delays ranging from 10 to 20 minutes due to the block.

The work is part of ongoing maintenance efforts to improve infrastructure on this busy stretch of Mumbai’s railway network.
