The Central Railway (CR) on Thursday (November 30) announced plans to implement a special traffic block on the Up and Down South-East lines of the Kalyan-Ambarnath section during the night of December 2 and 3. 

The purpose of this block is to facilitate the launching of Foot Over Bridge (FOB) girders at Ulhasnagar in Thane district. The designated block period will be for two hours, lasting from 1:20 am to 3:20 am. 

Central Railway train cancellations

As a consequence of the block, certain trains will be cancelled, and a few late-night trains will experience short-terminations, as outlined in the CR’s official release. 

The last local departure for Karjat from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) will be at 11:30 pm, and the last local departure for CSMT from Khopoli is scheduled for 11:15 pm. 

Additionally, the departure time for the first local on Sunday morning has been adjusted. The CR release specified that all Up and Down services toward the South-East will remain canceled between Kalyan and Ambarnath stations throughout the block period.
