The Central Railway’s Mumbai Division will conduct a mega block on both the Harbour and Main lines this Sunday, impacting local train schedules on October 27, 2024.
Main Line Block
From 11:05 am to 3:05 pm, the Up and Down Fast lines between Matunga and Mulund stations will undergo maintenance. Due to this, Down fast line services departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) between 10:25 am and 2:45 pm will be diverted onto the Down slow line at Matunga, halting at all stations up to Mulund. These trains are expected to reach their destinations approximately 15 minutes behind schedule. Fast trains beyond Thane will resume on the Down fast line from Mulund.
Similarly, Up fast line services departing from Thane between 10:50 am and 3:00 pm will be diverted onto the Up slow line at Mulund, halting at scheduled stations up to Matunga. From Matunga, these trains will rejoin the Up fast line, with an estimated delay of 15 minutes.
Harbour Line Block
The Harbour line will also experience a mega block from 11:05 am to 4:05 pm between Panvel and Vashi, excluding the Nerul/Belapur-Uran Port line. Up Harbour line services heading towards CSMT Mumbai from Panvel, departing between 10:33 am and 3:49 pm, and Down Harbour line services towards Panvel/Belapur, leaving CSMT Mumbai between 9:45 am and 3:12 pm, will be suspended.
On the Trans-Harbour line, services from Panvel to Thane between 11:02 am and 3:53 pm, as well as Thane to Panvel services between 10:01 am and 3:20 pm, will also be suspended. However, special local trains will operate on the CSMT-Vashi route during the block period, while services on the Trans-Harbour line will be available between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations. Port line services between Belapur/Nerul and Uran will run as usual.
Central Railway has arranged these maintenance mega blocks for infrastructure improvements and passenger safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration and check for updates to minimize inconvenience.
