The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train corridor, spanning 508 kilometers, will feature 12 stations, with eight in Gujarat and four in Maharashtra. The stations in Gujarat include Sabarmati, Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Bilimora, and Vapi, while Maharashtra will have Boisar, Virar, Thane, and Mumbai.
Recent updates indicate substantial progress in the construction of the Bullet Train stations in Gujarat. The foundation work for all eight stations is completed, and the construction of superstructures is advancing rapidly.
Five stations—Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Anand, and Ahmedabad—have completed the construction of their rail level slabs.
The Concourse Level and Rail Level Slabs have been completed in Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Anand, and Ahmedabad.
For other stations
Bharuch: Out of 425 meters, 350 meters of the rail level slab is completed.
Vadodara: The casting of the first floor slab work is in progress.
Sabarmati: All nine first-floor slabs are completed, and three out of nine concourse level slabs are finished.
The stations are designed to offer modern and advanced facilities to passengers, including ticketing and waiting areas, business-class lounges, nurseries, restrooms, smoking rooms, information booths, retail centers, and public information and announcement systems. Additionally, some stations will be developed as transport hubs, integrating multiple modes of transportation such as autos, buses, and taxis to ensure better, faster, and hassle-free connectivity to and from the stations.
The rapid advancement in the construction of these stations marks a significant milestone in India’s high-speed rail project, promising enhanced connectivity and world-class amenities for passengers.
