Train services on the UP line between Gholwad and Dahanu in Maharashtra’s Palghar district were disrupted for approximately two hours on Friday morning due to a technical fault, Western Railway officials reported. The issue, which occurred at 6:38 am, affected several passenger trains during the peak morning hours.

According to Western Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), the disruption was caused by a technical problem with the overhead equipment wire, crucial for powering electric trains. The malfunction led to the suspension of train operations along the UP line.

We immediately deployed our teams to rectify the issue while ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers. By 8:30 am, we had successfully restored services, and train movement resumed to normal, the CPRO said in a statement.

Passengers were advised to expect delays, but train services were promptly reinstated following the resolution of the technical glitch.
