Social media is always filled with new trends. The most recent one is – “Look between x and y on your keyboard”. In May 2021, it was started on 4Chan, a social network where users stay anonymous.

On the keyboard, if one looks vertically between X and Y, you will find the word F, which is a short form of a common curse word.

Now, the Railway Ministry has joined this trend.

The ministry on Wednesday posted on X, “Rail Passenger: Who can dial 139? Railways: Look at your keyboard between Y and I.”

The letter between Y and I is U (short form for “You”). For customer queries, the 139 is the Indian Railways’ helpline number. One can use this number to ask for fare details, check train schedules, or clear doubts about the PNR number. Also, it is used as a public grievance helpline.

Security helpline number

However, it is significant to note that 139 is not a security helpline number required for safety or security issues. For emergencies, a person can dial 182, which is operated by the Railway Protection Force (RPF). People can use 182 to report criminal offenses or suspicious activity such as harassment or theft within railway premises.
