Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Kolhapur-Pune Vande Bharat Express train on September 16. This semi-high-speed train will travel a distance of 326 km in just 5 hours and 15 minutes. Operating three days a week, the Kolhapur-Pune Vande Bharat Express will commence service on September 18.
This new service will reduce travel time between Kolhapur and Pune by nearly two hours compared to the existing Mahalaxmi and Koyna Express trains.
Kolhapur-Pune Vande Bharat Express schedule and timings
The Kolhapur-Pune Vande Bharat Express train will operate three times a week:
Train No. 20673: Departs Kolhapur at 8:15 AM and arrives in Pune at 1:30 PM on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Mondays.
Train No. 20674: Leaves Pune at 2:15 PM and reaches Kolhapur at 7:40 PM on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Kolhapur-Pune Vande Bharat Express route and stoppages
This semi-high speed train will make stops at Miraj, Sangli, Kirloskarwadi, Karad, and Satara stations en route between Pune and Kolhapur.
Kolhapur-Pune Vande Bharat Express coach composition and fare
The Vande Bharat Express comprises eight coaches, including one executive class coach. The Kolhapur-Pune Vande Bharat Express has a total seating capacity of 530 passengers. Standard class tickets are priced at Rs 560, while the tickets for the executive class that features 52 seats, is Rs 1,135.
