A Vande Bharat Express train traveling from Jalna in Maharashtra to Mumbai encountered a braking system glitch on Tuesday (January 16) morning, leading to a delay of approximately 30 minutes, as confirmed by officials.
The train came to a halt at Asangaon station, located about 75 km from Jalna, in the neighboring Thane district. Fortunately, the technical issue was swiftly addressed and the journey resumed at 11:25 am.
According to a Central Railway official, the braking system glitch was identified around 11 am. The train was able to resume its journey to Mumbai once the technical problem was resolved.
“The train suffered a glitch in its braking system at around 11 am, and left for Mumbai around 11.25 am after the technical issue was resolved,” a Central Railway official said.

The Vande Bharat Express, which typically departs from Jalna at 5:05 am, follows a route that concludes at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai around 11:55 am. Along its journey, the train makes scheduled stops at Dadar, Thane, Kalyan Junction, Nashik Road, Manmad Junction, and Aurangabad stations in both directions.

It’s worth noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Jalna-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express, the sixth Vande Bharat train in Maharashtra, via video conference from Ayodhya on December 29. However, its regular services commenced on January 1.
