Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw recently conducted a comprehensive review of the Simhachalam Railway Station’s redevelopment plans under the Amrit Bharat station scheme during his visit to Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Vaishnaw offered prayers at the Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Simhachalam and proceeded to inspect the station, providing insights into the planned facilities for the New World Class station building.

Commitment to Railway Infrastructure Upgrade

Addressing the media, Vaishnaw emphasised the government’s commitment to upgrading railway infrastructure nationwide, highlighting the progress and investment in Simhachalam station’s redevelopment. Acknowledging collaboration between the Centre and the state government, Vaishnaw discussed addressing land-related issues for the South Coast Railway Zonal Headquarters in Mudasarlova, Visakhapatnam.

Amrit Bharat Stations and Railway Development

Vaishnaw also announced the redevelopment of 15 stations in the region as Amrit stations, ensuring world-class facilities for passengers and emphasizing the significant investment in Andhra Pradesh’s railway development.

Transformative Plans for Kothavalasa Railway Station

The Railway Minister assured the transformation of Kothavalasa railway station into a world-class facility and highlighted the conversion of the KK line into a double line for enhanced train traffic. He also pledges increased funds for railway projects in the state.

Advancements in 5G Services

The minister outlined the rapid progress in expanding 5G mobile services across the country and his active participation in the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, addressing various initiatives and commitments for national development.

Vaishnaw participated in the Vikasit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra program organized by the Municipal Corporation in Jodigullapalem, Visakhapatnam, where he engaged with citizens, presented checks and certificates, and showcased awareness on various government initiatives.
