“Dudhsagar Waterfalls, a sight to behold! Relish a picturesque journey aboard Indian Railways this monsoon,” the ministry of railways said in a tweet. The majestic waterfall, renowned for its scenic beauty and cascading white waters, has become a popular attraction for tourists seeking natural splendor.

Indian Railways monsoon preparedness

The Western and Central Railways, which cater to more than 70 lakh suburban commuters daily in Mumbai, have affirmed their complete preparedness to ensure seamless train operations during the monsoon. 

Senior railway officials stated on Saturday (June 29) that both CR and WR have completed all necessary pre-monsoon maintenance work for railway infrastructure including tracks, mechanical, signalling, and electrical systems. 

Additionally, extensive collaboration between CR, WR, civic authorities, and state departments has been undertaken to minimise flood risks in Mumbai, crucially safeguarding the city’s lifeline.
