Good news for rail passengers! Indian Railways has extended the service of Jabalpur-Rani Kamlapati-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express train. Now, the semi-high speed train will connect Rani Kamalapati with Rewa. This is the third Vande Bharat train introduced in the state on June 27, 2023.

In a statement, the national transporter has said, “In view of the convenience of the passengers, it has been decided to extend the Rani Kamlapati-Jabalpur-Rani Kamlapati Vande Bharat train to Rewa for faster connectivity between Rani Kamlapati and Jabalpur to Rewa.”

The Rewa-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express covers a distance of 569 kms in eight hours. This is the fastest train on the route followed by Rewanchal Express which covers the same distance in 09:30 hrs.

Frequency and Stoppages of Rewa-Rani Kamlapati-Rewa Vande Bharat Express

The Rewa-Rani Kamlapati-Rewa Vande Bharat Express operates six days a week except Tuesday. During its journey, between Rani Kamalapati and Rewa, the train stops at nine stations. These are – Narmadapuram, Itarsi Junction, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar and Satna railway station.

Composition of Rani Kamlapati-Rewa Vande Bharat Express:-

The Vande Bharat Express train between Rani Kamlapati and Rewa railway station is composed of eight coaches. The train is fully air-conditioned with automatic doors and LED lighting. The train has driver cabins at both ends. The ultra-modern Semi High-Speed Train has advanced safety features including an indigenously developed Train Collision Avoidance System – KAVACH.  

Other Vande Bharat operational in Madhya Pradesh:-

A total of three blue and white colour trains have been introduced by the national transporter in the state. Apart from Rani Kamalapati-Rewa, the other routes where the semi-high speed is in operation are: Rani Kamalapati-Delhi and Rani Kamlapati-Indore.
