Good news for rail passengers! The Railways Ministry on Thursday (February 22) approved extension of train number 20632/20631 Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express to Mangaluru.

According to the scheduled timings, the train will depart from Mangaluru at 6.15 am and arrive in Thiruvananthapuram at 3.05 pm.
For the return journey, the train is scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram at 4.05 pm and reach Mangaluru at 12.40 am.

Operating six days a week, the service will be unavailable on Thursday, according to the India Rail Info website.

This Vande Bharat Express halts at a total of nine station now. The train will make stops at Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Tirur, Shoranur, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Alappuzha, and Kollam.
Nalin Kumar Kateel, the Member of Parliament for Dakshina Kannada, expressed gratitude for the extension of the Vande Bharat Express and acknowledged appealing to Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw for the extension of the service to Mangaluru.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this semi high-speed train in April last year from Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station.
