These semi-high-speed trains have significantly improved rail connectivity and reduced travel time, offering passengers faster and more comfortable journeys.

New Vande Bharat Train Between Lucknow and Saharanpur

The upcoming Vande Bharat Express will operate between Lucknow Junction and Saharanpur. Maintained and operated by the Northern Railway (NR) zone, the new-age train is expected to further reduce travel time while providing modern facilities to enhance passenger convenience and comfort.

State-of-the-Art Features and Passenger Amenities

Vande Bharat Express trains come equipped with modern coaches and several enhanced safety features. These include KAVACH, semi-high-speed operation up to 160 KMPH, fully sealed gangways, automatic plug doors, and ergonomic reclining seats with revolving options in executive class. Passengers also benefit from mobile charging sockets at every seat, mini pantries with hot case, bottle cooler, deep freezer, and hot water boiler, along with direct and diffused lighting.

Special facilities include Divyangjan lavatories in DTC, emergency openable windows, fire extinguishers in each coach, CCTVs, emergency alarm push buttons, talk-back units, and aerosol-based fire detection and suppression systems. Each coach also has driver-guard communication with voice recording, crash-hardened memory, Coach Condition Monitoring System (CCMS) display with remote monitoring, disaster lights, and platform-side cameras, including rear-view cameras outside the coach.
