Central Railways has announced the operation of 24 additional festival special trains between Panvel and Hazur Sahib Nanded to accommodate the increased passenger demand during the Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath Puja festivals. This initiative aims to ease the travel rush and ensure a smoother journey for passengers during the festive season.
According to an official press release, the bi-weekly festival special Train No. 07626 will depart from Panvel at 2:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday, beginning on October 22 and continuing until November 28. The train will reach Hazur Sahib Nanded at 4:30 a.m. the following day. A total of 12 services will be provided for this route. Similarly, Train No. 07625 will run from Hazur Sahib Nanded at 11 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday, starting from October 21 to November 27, and will arrive in Panvel at 1:25 p.m. the next day, with 12 trips scheduled in total.
Both trains will make stops at several key stations, including Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Manmad, Nagarsol, Rotegaon, Lasur, Aurangabad, Jalna, Partur, Selu, Manwat, Parbhani, and Purna, ensuring wide accessibility for passengers along the route.
The composition of the trains will include 13 AC 3-tier coaches, six Sleeper Class coaches, one Generator Car, and one Pantry Car, providing passengers with multiple options for seating and amenities during their journey.
Bookings for these special services will open on October 14 at all computerised reservation centres, as well as on the official Indian Railway website, www.irctc.co.in. Passengers are encouraged to book their tickets early to secure seats during this busy travel period.
