Indian Railways has revised the schedule of the 3rd Vande Bharat Express which was launched by PM Narendra Modi on 30th September 2022. The train runs between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar Capital and is maintained and operated by Western Railway (WR) zone.

Distance, Schedule, Time

The semi-high speed Vande Bharat Express (Train no 20901/20902) runs 6 days a week, except Wednesday. Covers 521 km in 6 hours 30 minutes. Faster option for this busy route.

Mumbai Central-Gandhinagar Capital Vande Bharat Express departs from Mumbai Central at 06:00 hrs and reaches Gandhinagar Capital at 12:25 hrs. Returns from Gandhinagar at 14:05 hrs and reaches Mumbai Central at 20:30 hrs.

Stoppages Extended to Navsari

Western Railway has now added 8 stops instead of 7 with Navsari in southern Gujarat being added to the list. So the train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Vadodara Junction, Anand Junction and Ahmedabad Junction.

Navsari halt will be beneficial for passengers of the region and will provide better connectivity between southern Gujarat and Maharashtra’s financial capital.

Coach Composition and Fare

The train has 20 coaches with AC Chair Cars and Executive Chair Cars. Fare for AC Chair Car between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar Capital is ₹1,285 and for Executive Chair Cars is ₹2,465.

Officials said the halt at Navsari is to improve passenger convenience and increase the train’s popularity on one of the busiest inter-state route.

Meghwal thanks Vaishnaw for Delhi–Bikaner Vande Bharat approval

Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Law and Justice Minister, has earlier thanked Ashwini Vaishnaw Railway Minister for Vande Bharat on Delhi–Bikaner. Meghwal is Bikaner MP in Lok Sabha has called it a big relief for the region.
