Attention to passengers! Indian Railways has regulated the train operations in Manipur due to the prevailing law and order situation in the north eastern state. The area falls under the administrative jurisdiction of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) zone. As of now, the train operations will be regulated till October 15, 2023.
In a statement, the zonal railway said, “Considering the prevailing law and order situation, and as advised by the Government of Manipur……train services are short terminated/Partially Cancelled.”

- 12097 Agartala-Khongsang Jan Shatabdi Express
The train number 12097 Agartala-Khongsang Jan Shatabdi Express will be short terminated at Arunachal and remain partially cancelled between Arunachal and Khongsang till October 13th. The train operates three days a week except Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In its journey, the train usually stops at four stations. These are – Ambasa, Dharmanagar, New Karimganj and Badarpur Junction.
- 12098 Khongsang-Agartala Jan Shatabdi Express
The train number 12098 Khongsang-Agartala Jan Shatabdi Express will remain partially cancelled between Khonsang and Arunachal and short originate from Arunachal. This is the fastest train enroute. It covers a distance of 348 kms in 05:43 hrs.
- 05659 Silchar-Vangaichungpao Passenger
The train number 05659 Silchar-Vangaichungpao Passenger will be short terminated at Shribar and will be partially cancelled between Shribar and Vangaichungpao. This will remain effective till October 14th. In its journey, the train usually stops at New Silchar, Moinarband, Ranigaon, Shribar, Kamranga, Jirighat and Jiribam.
- 05660 Vangaichungpao-Silchar Passenger
The train number 05660 Vangaichungpao-Silchar Passenger will be partially cancelled between Vangaichungpao and Shribar. It originated from Shribar.
