Individuals from underdeveloped nations can use the scholarships to pursue full-time undergraduate or postgraduate studies at participating Australian universities. The deadline for applications is 30 April 2025, 11.59 pm AEST.

The scholarships cover a range of expenses including:
Full tuition fees.
Return air travel.
Establishment allowances – a contribution towards accommodation expenses, textbooks and study materials.
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
Contribution to living expenses – a fortnightly contribution to basic living expenses paid at a rate determined by the department.
A range of support services which may include language and academic support if needed.

If you are chosen for an Australia Awards Scholarship, you will need to sign a contract declaring that you will comply with the conditions of the scholarship. You will also be required to leave Australia for a minimum of two years after completing the scholarship.
