Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various development projects worth approximately Rs 7,300 crores. The PM laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects in Jhabua district of the state. These initiatives are primarily aimed at benefiting the significant tribal population of the region.

Enhancing Rail Connectivity and Road Development

The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for various rail projects, including the redevelopment of Ratlam and Meghnagar railway stations, and projects aimed at strengthening rail infrastructure.

Moreover, he launched multiple road development projects, including the four-laning of major highways, aimed at improving connectivity and reducing travel time.

Strengthening Water Supply and Rail Infrastructure

Prime Minister Modi’s visit also marks the commencement of several projects aimed at strengthening water supply and rail infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh.

These include the ‘Talavada Project’ for drinking water supply to over a thousand villages, urban water supply schemes under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0, and the ‘Nal Jal Yojna’ for 50 Gram Panchayats of Jhabua, providing tap water to about 11,000 households.
