Kolkata Metro will begin services on the Blue Line at 7 am this Sunday, running eight additional trains to accommodate candidates appearing for the West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) recruitment test, according to a statement.
“Good news for all the aspirants of West Bengal Public Service Commission Clerkship (Part-I) Examination, 2023. Metro Railway is going to run additional services for them on Blue Line on 17.11.2024 (Sunday),” Kolkata Metro said in a statement.
Normally, services on the Blue Line, which connects Dakshineswar to New Garia, start at 9 am on Sundays.
Kolkata Metro to run 138 services on Sunday
This Sunday, a total of 138 services will be operated, up from the usual 130. For the first two hours, trains will run at 30-minute intervals, after which regular services will resume at 9 am.
“On that day, Metro will run 138 (69 UP + 69 DN) services on Blue Line instead of normal 130 services run on Sundays. Out of these 138 services, 133 services (65 UP & 68 DN) will be available to and from Dakshineswar,” the statement added.
The WBPSC will conduct the clerkship (Part I) examination on that day.
