In preparation for Diwali, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced a temporary change in service timings for October 31, 2024. The last train will depart at 10 PM from the terminal stations of all lines, including the Airport Express line. This adjustment comes as a notable deviation from the usual operational hours, where the last train typically runs until 11 PM on regular days.

Last Train at 10 PM

The DMRC confirmed the revised schedule via an official statement on X, stating, “On account of the Diwali festival, the last Metro train service on 31st October, 2024 (Thursday) will start at 10:00 PM from terminal stations of all lines, including the Airport Express Line.” Regular services will resume the following day, with operations beginning as per the usual timings.

Additional Trips to Manage Increased Commuter Traffic

Earlier, To accommodate the anticipated surge in passengers during the festive season, DMRC announced the addition of 60 extra trips on Tuesday and Wednesday. This measure aims to facilitate smoother travel experiences for commuters during one of the busiest times of the year. The extra trips will be distributed across various Metro lines to manage the increased influx of passengers effectively.
