Security Measures
The Delhi Metro’s security is managed by the Delhi Police and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) also deploying security personnel to manage crowds and ensure safety at the platforms. With 190 metro stations across Delhi, 16 metro police stations handle case registration and investigations. The CISF conducts frisking and checks, while Delhi Police personnel perform regular patrols on trains and in metro premises. A senior police officer indicated that metro security measures are continually updated in collaboration with the DMRC and CISF to maintain a safe environment for passengers.
