The Karnataka cabinet on December 6 approved the 37-km Hebbal-Sarjapur metro corridor, with an estimated cost of Rs 28,405 crore, under the Phase 3A project.
This key corridor aims to enhance connectivity between Sarjapur and Hebbal, traversing Bengaluru’s Central Business District (CBD) and Koramangala.
Following the cabinet meeting, Karnataka’s Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs, H.K. Patil, announced that the Bengaluru Metro’s Phase 3A project, spanning 36.59 km from Sarjapur to Hebbal, has been sanctioned by the cabinet.
The approval inlcuded 22.14 kilometres of elevated tracks with 17 metro stations and 14.45 kilometres of underground tracks with 11 stations
The Phase 3A project is set to feature 28 stations, comprising 17 elevated and 11 underground stations.
