The Uttar Pradesh government has made arrangements for parking vehicles of the massive amount of devotees who will be coming to Ayodhya for the Ram Temple ceremony. Throughout the city, it has made arrangements for parking at 51 designated locations.

VVIPs, VIPs to have special arrangements

The parking spaces in Ayodhya will be put under drone surveillance and are marked on Google Maps. Made for 22,825 vehicles, the parking spaces have special provisions for VVIPs, VIPs and other guests. This will ensure a well-organised and equipped setup, officials have said.

BD Paulson, the Additional Director General (ADG) of Traffic, stated that 51 locations have been designated for parking the vehicles of attendees arriving for the ceremony. He added that these locations encompass five spots on Rampath, one on Bhakti Path Marg, four on Dharma Path Marg, five on Parikrama Marg, two on Bandha Marg, one on Tehri Bazaar Rampath to Mahobra Marg, and seven places on Tehri Bazaar Rampath to Unwal Marg.

Furthermore, the parking arrangements extend to two locations on the Ayodhya to Gonda route, 10 on national highway 27, seven in Tirtha Kshetra Puram, three around Karsevak Puram tent city, and four at Ramkatha Mandapam tent city. These parking facilities have been established on government, private, and tourism department lands. In addition, vehicles will also be accommodated in the multilevel parking facility constructed in the vicinity.

Rajesh Tiwari, the officer in charge of Ayodhya Traffic Circle, mentioned that six parking areas situated at Rampath and Bhakti Path have been specifically allocated for the vehicles of VVIP guests. This venue will accommodate parking for over 1,225 vehicles belonging to VVIP guests. Additionally, nine parking spots on Dharma Path Marg and Parikrama Marg have been designated for VIPs, with a capacity to accommodate more than 10,000 VIP vehicles.

Along national highway 27, eight parking spots have been designated for the police force, with the capacity to house more than 2,000 police vehicles. Stringent security measures have been put in place to safeguard these parking facilities.
