Wipro has paid an average of 90 per cent variable pay to most of its employees for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025, reports Business Standard. This payout is significantly higher compared to Infosys, which paid about 65 per cent variable pay for the same period. Business Standard sources have mentioned that Infosys’ payout was lower due to a slow business environment.

TCS, on the other hand, gave full variable pay to 70 per cent of its employees. The rest received it based on the performance of their business units.

Wipro’s full-year payout close to 95 per cent

For the full year, Wipro’s average variable pay stood at around 95 per cent. As of March 31, 2025, Wipro had a total of 2,33,346 employees, according to Business Standard.

Salary hikes remain uncertain across IT companies

Infosys had given salary hikes in the range of 5 to 8 per cent earlier this year. TCS, however, paused salary hikes in April and said it would decide later based on business clarity.

TCS mentioned in its FY25 annual report that the average hike was between 4.5 -7 per cent, while top performers received double-digit hikes.
