Jewellery exporter and retailer Rajesh Exports Ltd (REL) on Monday reported a 75.15 per cent jump in profit at Rs 279.83 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, on the account of higher sales.

The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 159.76 crore during the same period last year.

Its net sales reported over fourfold increase to Rs 44,319.65 crore during the quarter under review as against net sales of Rs 10,959.42 crore in the same period last fiscal.

Shares of Rajesh Exports were trading at Rs 703, up 0.74 per cent, from previous close on BSE.
