Following the recent GST reform, Mother Diary has slashed the prices of its products across categories. The price cut, effective right away, includes daily items like toned milk, paneer, butter, ghee, cheese, and premium cow ghee. The recent revision of GST rates entailed reduction and removal of taxes on many essential everyday items. Mother Dairy had then said that all its products now fall under either the zero-tax bracket or the lowest 5% slab.
How much will the Mother Dairy milk cost now?
Your regular pouch milk will not see a price drop since it was already exempt from GST. The reduction applies specifically to the UHT milk, with a one-litre toned tetra pack now costing Rs 75 instead of Rs 77. Similarly the UHT double-toned milk and pouch that used to cost Rs 33, will now cost Rs 32.
The new rates are meant to give some relief to people struggling with high food prices. Depending on the product and its pack size, the reduction ranges from Rs 2 to Rs 30.
Mother Dairy new product prices
Milkshakes: Shakes, including that of strawberry, chocolate, mango and rabri flavours will now cost Rs 28, a significant cut from the old MRP of Rs 30.
Paneer: Paneer prices have come down slightly. The 200 gm pack now costs Rs 92, earlier it was Rs 95. The 400 gm pack is now Rs 174, compared to Rs 180 before. Malai paneer has also become cheaper. The 200 gm pack is priced at Rs 97, down from Rs 100.
Butter: Butter has also seen a price cut. The 500 gm pack is now Rs 285 instead of Rs 305. The smaller 100 gm pack costs Rs 58, earlier it was Rs 62.
Cheese Products: Several cheese items are now available at lower prices. Here we break it down for you:
Cheese Cubes (180 gm): Rs 135, earlier Rs 145
Cheese Slices (480 gm): Rs 380, earlier Rs 405
Cheese Block (200 gm): Rs 140, earlier Rs 150
Cheese Spread (180 gm): Rs 110, earlier Rs 120
Diced Mozzarella (1 kg): Rs 575, earlier Rs 610
Ghee: The biggest relief is in ghee prices, with both regular and premium packs becoming cheaper.
