Long wait for the Mahindra XUV500 Automatic finally got over on November 25th, as the company rolled out three automatic transmission-equipped variants of the premium SUV. Priced between Rs 15.52 lakh – Rs 17.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Mahindra XUV500 AT takes on the Hyundai Creta Automatic. Since it’s just an automatic transmission version of the car, no cosmetic and feature changes have been made to it.

With an ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs 15.52 lakh, the Mahindra XUV500 AT costs around 1 lakh higher than the manual-transmission equipped version of the same trim.

Mahindra XUV500 Automatic specifications
The Mahindra XUV500 AT continues to derive its power from the same 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that does duty on the manual variants. Mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox, this engine develops 140bhp and 330Nm. The Aisin-sourced gearbox has optimized gear ratios for rough terrains. The same gearbox is used by the SsangYong Tivoli compact SUV as well.
