1. What are the basic points students should keep in mind before preparing for interviews?
Preparation is of utmost importance for students. Preparation is indispensable for different things. In a job interview generally three types of questions are asked – straight questions, tricky questions and questions on facts and figures. One must know the art to master tricky questions. One must know how to leverage questions and situations.
2. How should a student react when he don’t know an answer?
No one is perfect. If you don’t know an answer politely say that you need to work on this.
3. Do you think any formal training is required to get established in job world?
Absolutely a formal training is essential. This is what the corporate world of today demands. There are many things that you may know, many things that you may not know but you should know. Here the role of trainers and facilitators becomes crucial.
4. What kind of body language should the interviewee carry in an interview?
Interviewee must always convey a positive attitude. I have met many interviewers and they say that they mainly reject the interviewee just because they are not satisfied with their body language. So it is my advice to take proper care of body language, physical appearance, gesture and facial expressions. Negative vibes will make the things worse.
5. What are the essential qualities to excel in professional field?
To succeed in the professional field there are 7 qualities that one must keep in mind. One must be compatible in every situation, carry a pleasant personality and develop a liking for the job. You should work on voice personality and body language. Try to learn something new everyday. Develop your tact and dexterity.
6. Is it right to negotiate the salary during the interview?
Well, there is always a smart choice of negotiating on salary parts. Instead of directly saying that you are not satisfied with the package go for some alternatives like, ‘I think I can get more for this profile. Kindly see if something could be done.’
8. Any tips or special suggestion?
You must be good at problem solving. You must be innovative and keep on brushing up your skills.
