Vishal Sikka-led Infosys announced its results for the second quarter (Q2) on Monday and amongst its many other revelations was one that indicated Infosys had registered a jump of 87.40 per cent in its standalone net profit figures to Rs 6,306 crore.

Infosys posted standalone bottomline figures of Rs 3,365 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Standalone sales of the IT bellwether rose 14.01 per cent to Rs 13,525 crore in the quarter ended September 2015 as against Rs 11,863 crore during the same quarter last year.

In a release, UB Pravin Rao, COO, Infosys, said, “We had strong all-round growth during the quarter driven by recent initiatives around service differentiation, improvement in client mining and higher focus on winning large deals. Increase in revenue productivity was significant, volume growth was robust, client metrics and utilisation improved while attrition remained stable.”
