India Yamaha Motor announced that it will be recalling the FZ 25 and the Fazer 25 models, the company’s latest offerings to the Indian market. All the units that the company has sold of both these 250cc vehicles, which were launched in 2017, will be affected by this recall. The recall is being undertaken to address an issue related to head cover bolt loosening in 23,897 units. About 21,640 units of FZ 25, which was launched in January 2017, will be recalled, while 2,257 units of the Fazer 25, launched in August, will be recalled. The company said the recall is being undertaken not due to an incident that was reported by a customer but as a precautionary measure. “The affected motorcycles will be repaired free of cost at any of the Yamaha authorised dealers and owners will be contacted individually,” the company said in a statement.
