Honasa Consumer, the parent company of Mamaearth, on Tuesday announced the appointment of Yatish Bhargava as its Chief Business Officer (CBO). This comes around four months after Zairus Master stepped down from the post in February.
In his new role, Bhargava will spearhead business operations across brands and channels to scale growth across platforms.
Bhargava’s appointment is intended to strengthen Honasa’s omnichannel strategy. He has 17 years of experience across profit and loss management, leading large-scale teams across general trade, modern trade, and ecommerce.
Before joining Honasa, Bhargava held key leadership roles at Indian e-commerce major Flipkart and FMCG giant Hindustan Unilever.
Honasa, which also owns brands like The Derma Co., Aqualogica, Bblunt, Dr. Sheth’s, and Staze Beauty, has seen some disruptions to its business in the last few quarters, as it tweaked its distribution model across the top 50 cities.
Under Project Neev, Honasa has been phasing out super stockists and replacing underperforming distributors with stronger, tier-I partners. The process is almost complete now.
In the Q4FY25 results, Honasa said that the new model is helping it with faster delivery, better control over inventory, and improved service to retailers.
“Yatish brings a rare blend of strategic thinking and executional depth that aligns with our ambition to not just grow, but to lead the next chapter of beauty and personal care in India,” said Varun Alagh, co-founder and CEO of Honasa Consumer.
In Q4FY25, the company’s revenue showed a rise of 13.3% to Rs 533.6 crore. However, net profit fell 18% to Rs 25 crore as margins took a hit.
