The company promised to get the Ford Mustang to every corner of the globe, and on schedule, the supercar has started its world tour with the 6th generation model.
Yes, you read it right. Ford Mustang GT is finally coming to the country. The much-awaited vehicle has been spotted at the ARAI recently, supposedly for government approvals. The model is going to be launched soon by the end of this year, somewhere around the festivities.
And, for the first time ever since its launch, the 50-year-old brand will get a right-hand drive design for its Indian debut.
Ford Mustang is likely to come under the Completely Built Unit system and is expected to be priced around Rs 60-65 lakh for the top end variant GT 5.0L V8.
Globally, the Ford Mustang comes with two more engine options except the GT 5.0L V8, a 3.7 litre Ti-VCT V6 and a 2.3 litre 4-cylinder EcoBoost. The top end variant GT V8 that India is going to get has a massive 5.0-litre engine capacity that churns out 418PS of power at 6500rpm with a peak torque of 524Nm.
The car that was spotted at the ARAI features a 6-speed Selectshift Automatic Transmission while the Mustang also comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. To grab the attention of everyone it passes through, the engine does the work with its noisy exhaust note specific to Mustang.
