According to Grant Thornton, April 2015 witnessed 147 deals worth $ 3.1 billion, which was 47% higher in terms of volume and 57% lower in terms of value compared to the same period in 2014. The month saw a decrease of 83% in M&A deal value, though deal volume increased 21%. PE investments increased to $4.6 billion (308 deals) in 2015, against $2.6 billion (183 deals) during the same period last year. This was largely driven by e-commerce deals.
