Bengaluru further cements its status as India’s startup capital, as 55 entrepreneurs featured on Avendus Wealth–Hurun India Under 35 List 2025 come from the city. The list features 155 young leaders, aged under 35.

Bengaluru is home to entrepreneurs such as Vikas Goya of Kuku FM, Misbah Ashraf of Jar and Ritika Mohan of Garuda Aerospace, who made it to the Hurun India Under 35 list this year. 

After Bengaluru, Mumbai ranks second with 29 entrepreneurs and is home to young leaders such as Pallon Mistry, Akash Ambani and Isha Ambani. New Delhi comes in third place with 22 notable entrepreneurs, such as Adwaita Nayar, Rahul Gupta and Raghav Chandra.

Other metro cities, such as Gurugram, Hyderabad, and Noida, house nine, six, and five entrepreneurs, respectively, on the list.

Bengaluru home to 35 companies led by entrepreneurs under 35

Besides housing the highest number of U35 entrepreneurs, Bengaluru also hosts the highest number of companies led by leaders under 35. The city has headquarters for 36 companies, which are led by entrepreneurs featured on the Hurun list.

Mumbai and Bengaluru follow Bengaluru in the category, with head offices of 25 and 13 companies, respectively, led by entrepreneurs who are under 35. Delhi, which, although it houses 22 entrepreneurs under 35, has headquarters of only 7 such companies. 

First-generation entrepreneurs lead 

Out of the total 155 business leaders and entrepreneurs on the Hurun U35 list, 117 entrepreneurs, representing 76%, are first-generation entrepreneurs. The visionary founders who built their ventures from the ground up exemplify a dynamic wave of self-made success.

The 155 featured entrepreneurs on the U35 list collectively oversee enterprises valued at approximately $443 billion (Rs 39 lakh crore), equal to about 10 per cent of India’s GDP. The companies founded by these enterprising entrepreneurs together employ over 7,67,000 people.
