LTIMindtree, the sixth largest Indian IT firm, is grooming two internal candidates for the CEO role, even as the company is grappling with top-level changes, according to sources.

Sudhir Chaturvedi, president and executive board member, LTIMindtree and Nachiket Deshpande, COO, LTIMindtree, are believed to be contenders for the top job.

The term of the current CEO, Debashis Chatterjee, is set to end next year. Mails and text messages to LTIMindtree didn’t elicit any reply till the time of going to print.

The development comes amid the company grappling with top-level flux. Last year, LTIMindtree appointed three new chief business officers (CBO) for three of its business units – Aditi Banerjee as CBO – Life Sciences and Healthcare, Samir Gosavi as CBO – Retail & Consumer Goods and elevated Rajesh Sundaram as CBO – Manufacturing business unit.

LTIMindtree also saw another chief business officer (CBO), Mukund Rao, senior vice president and CBO – banking financial services and insurance, exiting last month.

Last month, the firm also appointed former senior executive of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Shuchi Sarkar, as its new chief marketing officer.  Sarkar succeeded Paresh Vankar, who resigned in October last year, within 10 months of joining the firm.

According to analysts, flux at top level shows that the company is still struggling with integration-related issues. The company maintains it has ensured “client satisfaction and flawless delivery” in midst of a large merger and integration.
