Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Indian Diaspora at an event in Moscow on Tuesday. The address came a day after he landed in the Russian capital to take part in the 22nd India-Russia summit. In his special message for the diaspora living in Russia, PM Modi said that India is transforming at a very fast pace and the next decade will see the nation reach new heights. He said that the last decade was ‘just a trailer’.
On Russia’s special place, PM Modi said that every time an Indian hears the name Russia, he/she thinks of a ‘reliable friend’. “No matter how much temperature plunges in minus in Russia, the warmth of Indo-Russian bond will always be in plus,” PM Modi said amid loud applause.
PM Modi also spoke about the Lok Sabha Election results. ” You all must have watched what’s happening back home.” He said that India has seen stunning growth in various sectors – from semiconductor to electric vehicle and ready for the new chapter in the growth story.
He also spoke about the newage ‘never say die’ attitude of India’s youth as he lauded the spectacular win of Rohit Sharma & co in the T20 World Cup 2024. He also hailed the role of the Indian community living in Russia. “Your honest hard work has contrinuted greatly to the Russian society,” PM Modi said.
