Weekends are all about downtime. After a week of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Krishna Veer Singh, CEO, and co-founder, Lissun, talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination, and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
When I’m not working, I love to immerse myself in the history and geography of lesser-known places. Exploring the stories and landscapes of regions that often go unnoticed fascinates me. It’s a way to travel the world through books, uncovering hidden gems and understanding the diverse tapestry of human civilization.
How do you spend your weekends?
For me, the weekend is just Sunday, and I make sure to dedicate it entirely to my family & kids. We spend the day playing together, exploring new places, or simply enjoying each other’s company. It’s a day of bonding and creating memories that help us reconnect after a busy week.
What are your favourite gadgets?
My favourite gadget is definitely my phone. It’s more than just a communication tool; it’s my go-to device for staying connected, accessing information, and capturing moments on the go. With everything from work to personal interests integrated into it, my phone is an indispensable part of my life.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
If I had to choose another career, I would have pursued a path in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The idea of contributing to the nation’s development and being involved in decision-making processes that impact millions of lives has always been appealing. It’s a role that demands both leadership and empathy, qualities I hold in high regard.
Which is your favourite vacation spot?
Goa is my favourite vacation spot. Its unique blend of vibrant culture, serene beaches, lush green mountains, and rich history makes it an ideal place to unwind and recharge. Whether it’s relaxing by the sea, exploring the historic sites, or visiting temples in the mountains, Goa offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching
For a movie, I highly recommend The Shawshank Redemption. It’s a powerful story about hope, perseverance, and the human spirit’s ability to overcome even the most daunting challenges. As for a TV show, I would suggest exploring historical documentaries that offer insights into the past, which aligns with my interest in history. In terms of an ad campaign, Nike’s “Just Do It” series is timeless and always inspiring, reminding us of the power of determination and action.
