Harsh Chaudhary, the chief experience officer (CXO) of monetisation at Meesho, has resigned after a two-year stint, adding to the list of executive exits from the e-commerce unicorn.
Chaudhary’s LinkedIn profile says he assumed the role of vice president of customer at Flipkart in February. He is tasked with enhancing platform traffic and expanding the customer base.
During his tenure at Meesho, Chaudhary spearheaded the advertising and financial services segments. Before joining Meesho, he held positions at Disney+ Hotstar and Myntra. At Disney+ Hotstar, he served as senior vice president and CXO of business and strategy, overseeing teams in growth partnerships, strategy, and analytics.
Chaudhary’s departure is the latest in a series of recent high-level exits from Meesho. In October last year, Utkrishta Kumar, chief experience officer of Meesho’s business division, stepped down after a five-year tenure. He was replaced by Megha Agarwal. After Kumar’s departure, Meesho’s chief product officer Kirti Varun Avasarala resigned after four years with the company.
Earlier this month, Meesho initiated a $25 million employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) buyback programme, purportedly the largest of its kind by the company. Around 1,700 past and current employees are expected to benefit.
Meesho’s investors include DST Partners, Elevation Capital, Facebook, and Prosus. Its parent company, Fashnear Technologies, reported a 48% decrease in net loss to Rs 1,675 crore in FY23 from Rs 3,248 crore in FY22.
