With the Chhath Puja festivities coming to an end today, banks in several states are to remain closed today. As per the RBI, the banks in Bihar and Jharkhand will be closed today, November 8. 

The RBI has declared November 7 and 8 as official holidays in select states in observance of Chhath Puja. This period is immediately followed by regular bank closures on November 9 (second Saturday) and November 10 (Sunday), further extending the disruption of in-person banking services.

Banks in Bihar, Jharkhand are closed in observance of the “Morning Arghya” for Chhath Puja, while banks in Meghalaya observe closures for the Wangala Festival.

-November 12:  Egas-Bagwal, observed in parts of Uttarakhand.

– November 15: Guru Nanak Jayanti, a holiday in Punjab and for the Sikh community   nationwide.

– November 18: Kanakadasa Jayanti, celebrated in Karnataka.

– November 23: Seng Kutsnem, elebratd in Meghalaya
