Six nationwide bank holidays in October; rest regional

There will be nationwide bank closures on six days out of 30 in October, while the rest are regional holidays. Customers are advised to plan their visits and banking transactions accordingly.

The first week of October witnessed bank closures on all days from October 1 to October 5. Banks were also closed on October 6 in Kolkata and Agartala.

Online, UPI, and ATM services to function normally on holidays

Customers are advised to complete essential banking tasks such as cash withdrawals and cheque clearances in advance. It’s also recommended to check the state-wise holiday list before planning any transactions or physical visits to bank branches.

Meanwhile, online and mobile banking services will continue to function as usual during holidays, unless temporarily suspended for technical reasons. ATMs, apps, and UPI services will also remain operational to facilitate cash withdrawals and digital payments.
