Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will launch two new air services viz ‘PM Shri Paryatan Vayu Sewa’ and ‘Dharmik Paryatan Heli Sewa’ today. These initiatives aim to boost tourism at within the state and will be launched at the state hanger.
Principal Secretary of the MP Tourism and Culture Department, Sheo Shekhar Shukla informed that the MP Tourism Board will manage these flights through a public-private partnership (PPP) model. Initial reports suggest that the first trial run of these air services will likely connect Bhopal and Ujjain.
According to a report by Free Press Journal, the MP Tourism Board has joined hands with Jet Serve Aviation to start air services to tourist destinations within the state. Jet Serve Aviation is presently exploring connectivity options and establishing necessary infrastructure, such as booking portals. The flight operator is expected to commence the service within the next two months or sooner.
Connecting key cities
Sheo Shekhar Shukla mentioned to the media that the aircraft facility will be introduced in various routes, which will connect major airports such as Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Khajuraho, and other airstrips in MP.
Initially, two eight-seater twin-engine aircraft will be introduced under these services, Shukla said.
Earlier this month, CM Mohan Yadav virtually launched the ‘PM Shri Air Ambulance Services’ to enhance healthcare accessibility in the state.
The MP government’s decision to introduce PM Shri Air Ambulance Service statewide is historic. This service will be instrumental in saving the lives of economically disadvantaged individuals, Yadav said at the launch of the service.
