In a bid to improve international connectivity, Akasa Air is set to launch flights to Jeddah starting July 15, marking the airline’s second international destination. The airline, which is less than two years old, began flights to Doha, Qatar on March 28.
“Starting July 15, 2024, Akasa Air will operate daily direct flights connecting Jeddah with Mumbai and will further enhance this connectivity to operate 12 direct flights a week effective July 21, 2024. The launch of operations from Mumbai will be followed by the commencement of 2 weekly direct flights connecting Jeddah with Ahmedabad effective July 20, 2024,” the airline said in a release on Monday.
Akasa Air to start flights to Kuwait, Riyadh next
The release also noted that Akasa Air has obtained traffic rights for Kuwait and Riyadh, with plans to expand its global presence rapidly in the coming months.
Additionally, the airline has a well-timed flight schedule and travelers from other domestic cities like Ahmedabad, Goa, Varanasi, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Kochi, and Delhi will also have multiple connecting options for travel. Within the country, Akasa operates flights from numerous cities, including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, and others.
