Amid the ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel, Tata-owned Air India has announced the suspension of its flights to and from Tel Aviv until further notice.

“In view of the current situation in parts of the Middle East, scheduled operation of our flights to and from Tel Aviv are suspended with immediate effect until further notice. We are continuously monitoring the situation,” the airline said in a post on X.

Earlier, the carrier had suspended its services from Delhi to Tel Aviv till August 8.

Air India is offering a full refund to passengers with confirmed bookings for travel to and from Tel Aviv.

Tensions remain high in the Middle East due to ongoing conflicts between Israel and various groups, including Hamas. Earlier this year, Air India had temporarily suspended flights to Tel Aviv at various times due to these tensions. After nearly five months, the airline resumed its services to the Israeli city on March 3. However, Air India suspended flights again on October 7, 2023, following an attack by Hamas on Tel Aviv.
