Air India has chosen IBS Software, a contributor of SaaS solution, for the travel industry, to digitally transform its expanding air cargo operations. According to a statement from IBS Software on Tuesday, Air India will implement IBS Software’s iCargo platform to support its growth plan and commitment to ongoing digital transformation.
The Tata Group-owned airline’s Chief Commercial and Transformation Officer Nipun Aggarwal said, ” Air India cargo is a significant part of our growth roadmap, with technology playing a main role. Air India is on a path to regain its status as a global transformation leader and make the groundwork for future development.”
How will IBS Software benefit Air India
The airline will be able to digitize its overall cargo management process by implementing a fully integrated iCrago solution from IBS Software. This amalgamation will enable Air India to streamline processes and enhance decision-making skills. This would be possible by managing sales to billing and several cargo operations on a single platform.
IBS Software CEO, Somit Goyal commented on the co-participation, saying, ”Our market-leading digital platform for the air cargo industry assists in Air India’s ambitious modification goals by strengthening their cargo services”.
Implementation plan of iCargo
The primary execution of iCargo is anticipated to be completed in nine months. As a result, Air India will start getting immediate benefits from its services. The following phases will add more advanced features and will thus help Air India meet its target of managing ten million air cargo yearly by 2030.
This partnership will play a major role in realizing Air India’s broader plan of better fleet management, cargo operations, digital transformation, and in improving passenger services.
