First airline to operate from two airports in Delhi-NCR

This expansion makes Air India Express the first airline in India to operate from two airports within the same metropolitan region. The airline will operate from two airports in the NCR – Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and Hindon Airport (HDO), providing travellers with more options and enhanced convenience.

In addition to its operations at Hindon, Air India Express continues to offer over 320 weekly flights from Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, connecting 17 domestic and four international destinations including Bahrain, Dammam, Muscat, and Sharjah.

The new service is expected to offer quicker access for those flying to and from Bengaluru, Goa, and Kolkata, particularly benefiting passengers from western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, including cities like Bareilly, Dehradun, Meerut, and Saharanpur.

Located in Ghaziabad, Hindon Airport is set to serve as a prime departure point for passengers from Central and East Delhi, Noida, and surrounding areas such as Akshardham, Anand Vihar, Parliament Street, Central Secretariat, Chandni Chowk, Connaught Place, Indirapuram, Karol Bagh, Vaishali, Vasundhara and beyond.

The airline is also keen on expanding accessibility to air travel for a larger demographic, catering to aspiring travellers from nearby regions, with the goal of improving regional connectivity and making flying more convenient for people in these areas.
