Expressing displeasure at the scene in the general body meeting, Municipal Commissioner Mahesh Zagade compared the situation in the meeting with that of a guerilla warfare.

?The administration is unaware of the issues to be raised in the meeting. The officers are scared on what will take place in the meeting as they are unable to reply to the queries raised all of a sudden,? he said.

As per the BPMC Act, the elected representatives have to inform the administration seven days in advance on the issues to be raised in the meeting so that the administration is prepared to give detailed replies but the issues are being raised without prior notice.

This creates problems for the administration as they are unable to give satisfactory reply, he added. However, corporator Ujjwal Keskar said the administration was to be blamed for this as they fail to perform their duties.
