Employees of XL Capital Ltd. have donated thousands of hours of community service to hundreds of charitable projects in various locations worldwide since the Global Day of Giving began in 2006 during XL?s 20th anniversary. SOS Children gave a traditional welcome to XL employees who were amazed to witness the enthusiasm with which the children performed at the cultural programme. SOS Children?s Villages has a unique concept of Homes.
Each home is managed by a ?Mother? and houses 8-10 children. This unique concept makes SOS Children?s Village a ?home away from home.? XL Employees were delighted to witness the achievements of SOS-India and acknowledged the great work that the organisation has undertaken for the upliftment of needy children.
Commenting on the occasion Rakesh Jinsi, National Director, SOS Children?s Villages of India said, ?We are highly grateful to XL Capital for continuing their support for the fifth year by sponsoring two SOS families and helping us provide loving homes to many children in need. With such friendly support from renowned organisations like XL Capital, we will be helped in providing efficient services to our children.?
XL India Country Manager Philippe Lutgen said: ?The Global Day of Giving is an important event in XL?s global calendar. This is my first attendance in India and I look forward to spending the day with the other 400 XL India employees to support valuable causes. We extend our wishes to SOS-India for being successful in upbringing hundreds of children since its inception. It gives us immense pleasure to have an opportunity to be associated with such a noble cause of helping in giving families to needy children.”
